Captain Al Girard has been sailing since the age of 5. He is a Master’s North American Laser champion, has sailed in the America’s Cup in Perth Australia and was on the 1993 US Olympic Sailing Team. If that doesn’t give you confidence in him, there is more… Al was employed at the United States Coast Guard Academy as the Offshore Sailing Program Manager. He is also a private pilot who built his own plane in his garage. It flies beautifully! With the nickname “McGyver” he can figure out how to fix almost everything. Don’t you want to sail with Al?
Al’s wife Kia is originally from Finland which explains the Finnish flag (and a few other things) that you will encounter on your sail. She loves being a First Mate but most of all she loves music and dancing. She has designated part of the catamaran as a dance floor and is happy to accommodate guest music requests from her expansive digital collection.
